Disease Incidence

The Information Services Division (ISD) is part of an NHS special board, National Services Scotland. The ISD collect and report a comprehensive range of information on disease incidence in Scotland.
This information can used to undertake high level clinical trial feasibilities to quantify the initial number of potential candidates for potential trials.
ISD has extensive experience of using data linkage to routine data sources suc as hospital discharge, mortality and precribing records. Linkages can be used to provide researchers with long term follow up data on study participants using a much more cost-effective approach than the collection of new data.
